Palmira Irisarri

soprano and musicologist

 

Palmira Irisarri is an excellent soprano and musicologist from Bilbao (Basque Country).

She was member of the ‘Carmina Nova’ Choir of Málaga, and researched carefully the historical, musical and linguistic background of the Renaissance songs she performed in «Ancient Mosaic with Guitar«.

Her singing is distinguished by her sweet, natural timbre and the perfect tuning of her voice.
Her style is especially suited for the Spanish Renaissance pieces, so often interpreted with later centuries’ approaches.
