C\u00e1ntica Cuarteto, otra forma de entender la m\u00fasica<\/h2>\n

C\u00e1ntica, un cuarteto de virtuosos, con un dominio preciso de sus respectivos instrumentos: voz, flauta, percusi\u00f3n y guitarra, nos transport\u00f3 con su concierto en un peque\u00f1o pub, a un lugar de serenidad y armon\u00eda, donde la emoci\u00f3n se expandi\u00f3 embargando a los presentes y logrando el aplauso un\u00e1nime de los mismos.
\nC\u00e1ntica Cuarteto<\/b><\/span> es un Ensemble creado en 2014 por Manuel Esteban<\/b><\/span>, guitarra cl\u00e1sica y compositor. Est\u00e1 integrado por Yolanda Campos<\/b><\/span>, mezzosoprano, Inmaculada G\u00f3mez<\/b><\/span>, flauta travesera y casta\u00f1uelas y el prodigioso \u00c1ngel Mart\u00edn<\/b><\/span> con sus percusiones diversas.<\/p>\n

Esta noche hicieron dos pases, distribuyendo en cada uno de ellos por igual peque\u00f1as-grandes joyas de la canciones, la mayor\u00eda con composici\u00f3n propia realizada por Manuel<\/b>, y otras con adaptaciones que las hacen m\u00e1s del gusto musical actual, ya que la m\u00fasica antigua pura y dura, quiz\u00e1s ser\u00eda espinoso de digerir en un lugar de copas. No obstante a m\u00ed me parecieron aut\u00e9nticos hallazgos elegidos e interpretados con un gusto exquisito y una elegancia inhabitual en las bandas o grupos actuales, que adem\u00e1s respetan la estructura musical de las canciones de m\u00fasica antigua.<\/p>\n

Una forma muy trabajada de ofrecer calidad sin que parezca que se han currado tanto cada tema, por la sencillez y la falta de complejidad con que sonaban, pero detr\u00e1s de cada nota se adivinaba una labor de equipo, de investigaci\u00f3n y de conjunci\u00f3n de armon\u00edas y acople de los distintos instrumentos, cada uno de los cuales sin oscurecer a los dem\u00e1s destacaba con m\u00e9ritos propios.<\/p>\n

Algunas de los temas que recuperaron con adaptaciones: Tres hermanitas eran<\/i>, Romance de la pena negra<\/i> (los vellos de punta), Caf\u00e9 de Chinitas<\/i>, Marie y Piere\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

\u00c1ngel<\/b> en la percusi\u00f3n utilizaba instrumentos desconocidos hoy d\u00eda como el Ludo, una especie de jarr\u00f3n con un agujero en la panza.<\/p>\n

\"Inmaculada La utilizaci\u00f3n de las casta\u00f1uelas sonadas con elegancia y acierto por Inmaculada<\/b>, nos traen reminiscencias espa\u00f1olas en las canciones de procedencia hisp\u00e1nica.<\/p>\n

La voz de Yolanda <\/b>suave, tremendista cuando la ocasi\u00f3n lo requiere, pues interpreta en escena cada copla, es impecable en ejecuci\u00f3n y afinaci\u00f3n, sin perder personalidad propia y vibrar de emoci\u00f3n en algunas notas.<\/p>\n

La versi\u00f3n tan conocida de Los cuatro muleros<\/i>, nos sorprendi\u00f3 por la armon\u00eda y disonancia a la vez, dependiendo de la frase musical, de los sonidos.<\/p>\n

En general la plasticidad de lo que se oy\u00f3 dibuj\u00f3 escenas mentales que transportaban a escenarios on\u00edricos nuevos.
\nEl Romance son\u00e1mbulo<\/i> de Lorca fue de una intensidad emocionante.<\/p>\n

En estos momentos, C\u00e1ntica Cuarteto<\/b> se encuentra grabando un disco de homenaje a Federico Garc\u00eda Lorca<\/b>. Algunas de las obras de este nuevo trabajo se han presentado ya en primicia en Teatros de la capital y provincia.<\/p>\n

Su primer v\u00eddeo profesional con el sonido grabado en directo es del Romance de la Pena Negra<\/i> de F. Garc\u00eda Lorca.<\/p>\n

Los componentes de C\u00e1ntica Cuarteto<\/b> han tocado en formaciones tan reconocidas y tan diversas como la Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica del Conservatorio Superior de M\u00e1laga<\/b> (Espa\u00f1a), Inocu <\/b>(Italia), El Sombrero del Alquimista <\/b> (Espa\u00f1a), El Tercer Ojo<\/b> (Bolivia) etc, y han ofrecido conciertos en lugares como el Festival Internacional de m\u00fasica de Cadaqu\u00e9s<\/b> , el Sal\u00f3n de los Espejos del Ayuntamiento de M\u00e1laga, o el prestigioso Festival Internacional de m\u00fasica y danzade la ciudad de Granada<\/b>.<\/p>\n

\nTuve la oportunidad de verlos en directo en V\u00e9lez-M\u00e1laga, en el Teatro del Carmen. Tal y como dice el art\u00edculo, una interpretaci\u00f3n magn\u00edfica de cada obra. Espero tener la suerte de volver a escucharlos.<\/p>\n

#2 C\u00c1NTICA: m\u00fasica actual de calidad \u2014 m\u00e1laga cultura+ocio 27-11-2015 08:14<\/b><\/span>
\nLa m\u00fasica de CANTICA es una s\u00edntesis sorprendente y muy conseguida entre estilos antiguos, cl\u00e1sicos y actuales, entre poes\u00eda e interpretaci\u00f3n teatral, una m\u00fasica bien compuesta, con arreglos geniales y muy bien instrumentada.
\nC\u00c1NTICA cautiva, y no solo a los especialistas en m\u00fasica sino tambi\u00e9n al p\u00fablico en general, porque sus canciones, tan ricas en matices y emociones, son asequibles para todos.
\nPor cierto: la m\u00fasica del Romance de la Pena Negra (poes\u00eda de Garc\u00eda Lorca) es obra del compositor Manuel Esteban, gran int\u00e9rprete y fundador del cuarteto.<\/p>\n

La Reverie is a group of musicians from Granda, Spain that have well established musical careers.
\nOn Cantica (Musica Efimera \/ Musica Eterna) they fuse together music from the Renaissance with more modern Spanish folk styles. What can they hope to achieve with this idea? Well, listening to the music on La Reverie: Cantica (Musica Efimera \/ Musica Eterna) might just reveal a few things<\/p>\n

La Reverie: Cantica (Musica Efimera \/ Musica Eterna)<\/h2>\n

The idea behind this recording is to :\u2026comment on the pieces from the present time, holding a conversation with that old music.\u201d Which, when one considers the state of some modern music, like a lot of Downtempo electronic music, is a fairly common idea. However, in this approach we have a different feeling for what is being done.<\/p>\n

This is music that spans centuries instead of decades. In writing their own songs, the members of La Reverie have approached the concept on a more pure and direct level. This isn\u2019t a matter of trying to take music that is a few decades old, and twist and manipulate it into a new form. Rather La Reverie has invented a hybrid genre for their work, mixing the strongest elements from two styles into a form that is neither Renaissance or folk.<\/p>\n

What is the secret to the success in creating this hybrid style. I think it has to do with choosing the styles carefully. We\u2019ve all heard attempts to make classical music from pop tunes, and generally the results are atrocious at best. Here the group have considered whether it is better to fuse folk instrumentation with Renaissance style vocals, or vice versa. They\u2019ve taken the time to examine the structures of each style and work out where there are natural and intuitive connections between them. The result is a style of composition that seems to flow effortlessly from these recordings.<\/p>\n

However, this could have still been a disaster if the performers themselves weren\u2019t some incredibly gifted performers. Each member has an incredible feel for their instruments, from Esteban Canyar\u2019s guitar work, to Yolanda Campos\u2019s versatile vocals (she frequently switches between styles flawlessly within the space of a few bars), and the contributions of Inmaculada G\u00f3mez D\u00edaz, Juan Manuel Rubio, and \u00c1ngel Mart\u00edn Bandera all fuse together to make this a first rate recording and performance.<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/h2>\n

This may seem somewhat odd to say, but I really feel that La Reverie is a \u201csupergroup\u201d of the classical music genre. \u00a0Each member is an outstanding performer in their own right. \u00a0However, when they combine to work on a common concept, the results transcend the input and contributions of each performer to take on a higher level of excellence. Want an example? Note how in a few places (inclduing the opening piece: Las Tres Hermanicas) there is a little bit of a playful lilt \/ swing. In La Reverie\u2019s hands that little bit of a swing becomes Jazz like: first in Inmaculada\u2019s flute, but then it\u2019s picked up in Yolanda\u2019s vocals. It\u2019s these subtle interactions that really make this a standout recording.<\/p>\n

La R\u00eaverie – dos m\u00fasicos andaluces con amplia experiencia en la m\u00fasica antigua y oriental -proponen una relectura de una cuidada selecci\u00f3n de piezas de compositores europeos de finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX, conseguida mediante unos arreglos propios y la utilizaci\u00f3n de instrumentos de cuerda de la ribera mediterr\u00e1nea.<\/p>\n

El sonido del santur y del oud realzan la mirada oriental que subyace en obras como la Gnossienne n\u00ba 1 o la Danza de Anitra, y junto a la guitarra logran un ambiente enso\u00f1ador, eje com\u00fan de todo el trabajo. M\u00fasica para mecer recuerdos y acunar el alma.<\/p>\n

La R\u00eaverie — two Andalusian musicians with extensive experience in Early and Eastern music — propose a new look at a precious selection of pieces by European composers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, achieved by means of their own arrangements and the use of string instruments rooted in Mediterranean culture.<\/p>\n

The sound of the santur and the oud enhance the oriental flavour which underlies pieces like Gnossienne No.1 or Dance of Anitra, and along with the guitar achieve a dreamlike atmosphere, common axis of the entire work. Music designed for cradling our memories and souls.<\/p>\n
